The IEEE Xplore digital library is a powerful resource for the discovery and access to technical content published by the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and it acts as its publishing partner. It provides web access to more than 3-million full text documents from some of the world’s most highly cited publications in electrical engineering, Computer Science engineering and electronics engineering. The content of the IEEE Xplore comprises over 170+ journals, 1400+ conference proceedings, and 5100+ technical standards. Science Direct is the web-based interface to the full-text database of Elsevier Science journals and Academic Press (Ideal), one of the world's largest providers of scientific, technical and medical (STM) literature. The Science Direct offers a rich electronic environment for research journals, bibliographic database and reference works. Springer is a global scientific publisher, delivering quality content through innovative information products and services. It publishes high quality content in various formats like books, journals, newsletters, CD-ROMs, online platforms, protocols, databases and conferences. Springer organizes the Online Journals into fully indexed, fully searchable Subject Collections covering 11 subjects: including behavioural science, biomedical and life sciences, business and economics, chemistry and materials science, computer science, earth and environmental science, engineering, humanities, social sciences and law, mathematics, medicine and physics and astronomy. The Consortium subscribes to 1,495 journals for IITs and IISc, 1,300 journals for NITs and other core Institutions and 1,300 & 520 journals for the self-supported category. Knimbus is a cloud based e-Library that gives knowledge seekers learning content they need, wherever they are. The platform houses e-Books, e-Journals, multimedia content and other premium learning content sourced by your organization's library; practically all the knowledge one need is available here. K-Nimbus database provides one-click access to all the subscribed e-resources and selected open access e-resources. These are paid for sites'. This database will provide full text access to those resources subscribed by our library. NPTEL is an acronym for National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning which provides e-learning, through online Web and Video courses in various branches such as Engineering, Science and humanities. It is the result of initiative taken up by seven IITs viz IITs of Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee and IISc, Bengaluru is especially for promoting course contents in engineering and science. Engineering branches such as Civil, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics and Communication and Mechanical and core science programme for students at the undergraduate engineering level were selected. OPEN ACCESS RESOURCES
This covers free services of text books, qualitative scientific journals meant for scholars. Open access journals as journals that use the funding model not charging readers or their institutions for access. They allow users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to the full texts of articles. The aim and scope of the Directory of Open Access Journals is to increase the visibility and to simplify the use of open access scientific and scholarly journals thereby promoting their increased usage and impact on knowledge.
The soft copy of VTU semester question papers are uploaded in the digital library software. The student users can avail the facility in the library and in the college campus network.http://172.16.16.3/LocalGuru
