How to Reach

Mangalore, a major commercial centre in Karnataka, is famous for its historic attractions like Sultan Battery and Kadri Manjunath Temple. There are a range of interesting and old places of interest owing to which tourists visit this place in large numbers each year, therefore reaching Mangalore from anywhere in the country or abroad is not an issue. The destination is well linked to all the major Indian cities by various flights, trains and buses. Mangalore Airport and Mangalore Junction are the main aerodrome and railhead, respectively. Moreover, state and private run buses also connect Mangalore with prime towns and cities nearby.

Mangalore is linked to various cities and towns in Kerala, Karnataka and other parts of the country via well-maintained national highways. Buses for Bangalore (350 km), Ooty (372 km),Kochi (426 km), Coimbatore (450 km) and other major cities are easily available from here. One can also take NH 275 and drive to Ooty that takes only 8 hours.
RAIL LINK : 
Mangalore Junction is one of the major railheads in south India and connects the city with all prime Indian cities. A number of mail and superfast trains operate to and from Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Puneand Bangalore, among others. Karwar Express, Mangalore Express, Netravati Express and Poorna Express are some prominent trains operating from here. Visitors can avail bus or taxi services from outside the railway station to reach anywhere in Mangalore.
AIR LINK :Mangalore Airport, about 7 km away from the city centre, is well linked with other parts of the country via an excellent network of flights. Carriers like Air India, Jet Airways and SpiceJet operate regular flights for Bangalore, Delhi Hyderabad Mumbai and Chennai. Besides, AirIndia Express also offers services for the international destinations such as Abu Dhabi Bahrain,Doha, Muscat, Kuwait, and Dammam. Once you land at the airport, you can avail cab services, which are easily available from outside.
