Innovations by the Faculty in Teaching and Learning

  • The teaching-learning process is designed for enhancing the performance of the students . The process is defined to categorize slow-learners, fast-learners and aid both. Remedial Classes are conducted for slow learners. Also conducted tutorial classes for the students those who are not getting ideas of some of the topics.
  • The Internal Assessment is designed with due weight-age for assignments. The program outcomes and the program specific outcomes are defined by the Department Academic Board along with the NBA guidelines.
  • The faculties are utilizing different enhanced multimedia components for betterment of teaching learning process, such as Laptops, LCD projectors, LAN network, demonstrative models, Videos for demonstration practical application of concepts etc. in the classroom. This will help the faculties to improve their knowledge with effectiveness in conducting the lecture and to create interest in students to learn the lesson topic.
  • The following innovative teaching methods are adopted by the faculty:
    • Computers are used for teaching purposes and internet facility is available within the college to students and faculty.
    • Faculty members are enrolled courses of NPTEL and taking advantage of sources like National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL), internet sources for effective teaching.
    • Online availability of various journals in the intranet.
    • Well-structured lesson plans are prepared / revised for all theory and practical courses on a period to period basis.
The faculty member adopts various methods for improving the teaching learning process, such as:
  • The faculty members participate in different short term courses, faculty development programs and workshops on recent trends with different applications to keep pace with the advanced level of knowledge and skills.
  • The faculty members have been participating, presenting and publishing technical papers at national/international conferences and journals to enrich their knowledge.
