Dean Academics
Dr. P.Mahabaleswarappa has more than 38 years of teaching experience and one year of industrial experience. He is currently working as Dean Academics in A J Institute of Engineering & Technology, Mangaluru has an illustrious academic career in teaching, research and industrial consultancy in engineering. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan, Mysore University, he obtained his Post Graduation degree from Basaveswara Engineering College, Bagalkot, Karnataka University and he obtained his Doctorate in the field of Abrasive Water Jet Machining. His research work finds study and applications of various brittle materials.
He has done his extensive work in the area of Water Jet Machining, especially study of material removal rate in presence of chemically active liquid media and also in presence of polymers, as well as in composite materials.
He has been a member of prestigious academic bodies for several times like Board of Studies, Board of Examination and worked as Chairman of Board of Examination of Mechanical / Industrial Production & Automobile Engineering and he is one of the members of local inspection committee of VTU since many years. Also, he has worked as PG coordinator.

He has successfully handled funds granted by MHRD projects on modernization of labs in the department of Mechanical Engineering and involved in various consultancy works.
He has guided several undergraduate & post graduate students project works and involved in evaluation of post graduate thesis. He has organized good number seminars/workshops and international conferences.
He is a member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), and Indian Society of Mechanical Engineering (ISME).
Worked as B.O.E. Chairman in Mechanical, Industrial & Production Engineering, & Automobile Engineering in Kuvempu University.

Dr. Antony has a total of 27 years teaching experience, in which more than 16 years of research and also more than 18 years of experience in challenging leadership roles of academic programs such as Vice Principal of the institution, Head of CSE/ISE departments, Director of Post Graduate Studies, Head of Campus Placement and Chairman of Student Hostels on the campus etc. He has published one patent, 2 books, 3 book chapters and more than 80 research articles in various reputed international journals and conference proceedings. He has delivered number of technical talks including Keynote Addresses in international conferences. He has handled the major role for NBA Accreditation process of CSE department and also presently the NAAC chief coordinator of the institution. Dr. Antony had opportunities to shoulder his expertise in various VTU level activities such as a Member of Board of Studies of VTU (CSE/ISE board) for the term 2019-22, Member of Board of Examination (BOE), VTU Practical Coordinator, Digital Evaluation Coordinator, Member of LIC, Member of VTU Faculty Selection Screening Committee, Member of PhD candidate selection panel committee, Chairman of VTU Special Examination Squad etc. Presently, he is a Member of Governing Council of A J Institute of Engineering and Technology, Member of Academic Council of St Aloysius Deemed University, Mangalore, Member of Board of Studies of MSc Software Technology and MCA Departments St. Aloysius College Beeri and also Member of BOE for Intelligent Computing & Business Systems (ICBS) Department, St Joseph Engineering College.
