Eligibility Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D)

Eligibility Criteria for Advanced Degree Programs

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Engineering, Technology, Management, or Science from VTU or any recognized university, with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade. However, SC/ST and other categories notified by the Government of Karnataka are eligible for a relaxation of up to 10%. Alternatively, candidates with at least five years of teaching or research experience may be eligible, subject to VTU approval.

Additionally, candidates must pass the University Level Research Aptitude Test, with results valid for two years.
