The Main purpose of designing this laboratory is to make students understand the basic principles& fundamentals of measurement and metrology. In this lab, students will be taught the theoretical concepts of Mechanical Measurements & Metrologythrough experiments. Various measuring tools &techniques are illustrated tohelp the students to get more knowledge about different linear & angular equipments, their principle and applications. Also to provide knowledge on various metrology equipments available to measure dimension of the components.By conducting the experiments students will understand calibration techniques of various measuring devices and method of measuring mechanical parameter.
