Science Direct is a leading web-based platform from Elsevier, one of the world’s largest publishers of scientific, technical, and medical (STM) literature. It provides access to high-quality, peer-reviewed research articles and reference materials that support academic learning and research.

Through the VTU e-Resource Consortium, our institution has access to around 450 full-text journals from Science Direct, covering various branches of engineering, technology, management, and applied sciences.

Science Direct offers a rich and interactive electronic environment, featuring journals, bibliographic databases, and reference works that help students and faculty stay updated with the latest global research trends.

IEEE ASPP & POP All:

The IEEE Xplore® Digital Library provides access to the world’s most trusted collection of engineering and technology research published by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

Under the VTU e-Resource Consortium, our institution has access to:

• ASPP (All Society Periodicals Package) – offering full-text access to 202 IEEE journals, transactions, and magazines covering diverse engineering and technology disciplines.
• POP (Proceedings Order Plan) – All – providing access to the core collection of IEEE conference proceedings from more than 1,800 global conferences, delivering the latest innovations and research findings.

Springer Nature is one of the world’s leading academic publishers, providing access to high-quality scientific, technical, and scholarly research across multiple disciplines. It offers content in diverse formats including e-journals, books, databases, protocols, and online platforms, supporting innovation and research worldwide.

Under the VTU e-Resource Consortium, our institution has access to 710 e-journal in Springer journals are fully indexed and searchable, providing access to research papers, review articles, and conference materials that help students and faculty enhance their knowledge, conduct research, and stay updated with global scientific advancements.

Taylor & Francis

Taylor & Francis is a globally recognized academic publisher known for delivering high-quality scholarly content across science, technology, engineering, management, and social science disciplines. Through the VTU e-Resource Consortium, our institution has access to 260 e-journals from Taylor & Francis.The platform provides peer-reviewed research articles, review papers, and case studies, enabling students and faculty to stay informed about current research trends, develop project ideas, and strengthen academic writing and publication skills.

Emerald Insight:

Emerald is global publisher linking research and practice of business and management. As a result we are developing a new digital research platform and plan for increases in yearly article growth. Today, we continue to nurture fresh thinking in applied fields where we feel we can make a real difference. And it’s providing 212 journals.

ICE:

The ICE Virtual Library is a premier online platform dedicated to the field of Civil and Structural Engineering. It provides access to 29 high-quality e-journals published by the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), UK, offering rich technical and research content for engineering students, faculty, and professionals.

ICE journals are peer-reviewed and globally recognized, offering access to the latest research papers, case studies, and practical insights that help students stay updated with modern engineering practices and innovations.

EBSCO Engineering Suite:

EBSCO is a leading provider of research databases, e-journal and e-package subscription management, and library technology. They partner with customers and other organizations to improve research and outcomes. Currently 6100 e-journals, 24015 e-books and 80+ micro-courses available.

Magzter Database:

Magzter is a leading global digital magazine and newspaper platform that provides access to a wide range of popular and academic reading materials. Under the VTU Consortium, our institution has access to a vast collection of contemporary and multidisciplinary resources through Magzter. The database included 3174 Magazines, 1260 Newspapers, 4581 e-Journals and 2595 Other databases available.

New Age International:

New Age International Publishers is one of India’s leading academic publishing houses, well known for its high-quality textbooks and reference materials in science, engineering, management, and humanities.

Through the VTU e-Resource Consortium, our institution provides access to 450 e-books from New Age International.

Edsol Informatics:

Edsol Informatics is an academic publishing platform that provides high-quality educational and professional e-books tailored to support modern learning and research needs. Through the VTU e-Resource Consortium, our institution has access to 29 e-books from Edsol Informatics.

Quiklrn Language Communication Lab and 185 e-books:

Quiklrn is a digital learning platform that enhances communication, soft skills, and professional development through interactive and technology-driven resources.

Under the VTU e-Resource Consortium, our institution provides access to the Quiklrn Language Communication Lab along with 185 e-books designed to support students in developing academic, technical, and workplace communication skills.

IEEE Blended e-Learning:

IEEE Blended e-Learning is an innovative online learning platform designed to help students and faculty enhance their technical knowledge, professional skills, and research capabilities through interactive and self-paced modules.

Through the VTU e-Resource Consortium, our institution has access to 70 high-quality e-learning courses developed by IEEE experts and industry professionals.

PAT Technology:

PAT Technology offers specialized e-learning courses that focus on developing technical, analytical, and professional skills relevant to engineering and management disciplines. Through the VTU e-Resource Consortium, our institution provides access to 14 e-courses from PAT Technology, designed to complement classroom learning with practical knowledge.

Drill-Bit: Plagiarism Detection Software:

Drill-Bit is a powerful plagiarism detection software designed to uphold academic integrity and originality in research, assignments, and project work.

It helps students, faculty, and researchers ensure that their written work is authentic, properly cited, and free from plagiarism.

Through the VTU Consortium, our institution has access to Drill-Bit Advanced, which supports:

• Checking project reports, research papers, and theses for similarity
• Detecting content copied from web sources, journals, and publications
• Providing detailed similarity reports with highlighted and percentage-based analysis
• Encouraging ethical writing practices and improving citation skills.

MAP My Access: Technology Platform:

MAP My Access is a modern remote access technology platform provided under the VTU e-Resource Consortium. It enables students and faculty to access all subscribed e-resources and databases from anywhere, at any time — both on campus and off campus. This platform serves as a single sign-on gateway that connects users to all library e-resources such as IEEE, Science Direct, Springer, Taylor & Francis, Magzter, and many others, ensuring seamless connectivity and accessibility.

Celus:

CELUS (Consolidated E-Resources Usage Logger System) is an advanced analytics and reporting tool designed for libraries to monitor, harvest, and analyze usage statistics of e-resources.

It helps institutions gain valuable insights into how databases, e-journals, and e-books are being used by students and faculty. Through the VTU e-Resource Consortium, our institution utilizes CELUS Online Software for the automated collection and analysis of both COUNTER-compliant and non-COUNTER usage data from subscribed publishers and platforms.

DELNET-Developing Library Network

Library is a member of Developing Library Network (DELNET), which provides services like browsing of Union Catalogues, Inter Library Loan and Document Delivery Services. Students can access the Catalogues of other Libraries through DELNET and request the required books/documents to be procured from these libraries on loan for a limited period. It is a network of more than 1000 institutions and access is being given to more than 60 lakh records through online systems. It has been actively engaged with the compilation of various union catalogues of the resources available in member libraries. It has already created the union catalogue of books, union list of current periodicals, CD-ROM database. DELNET provides an array of facilities including E-mail to its member libraries including both institutional and associate institutional members. It has indeed been a big leap towards the modernization of libraries in India.
